A bit about me

I've shared my life with a huge range of animals including dogs, cats, ducks, reptiles and a donkey.  I currently live with my black Labrador, Loki.

The dog who changed my life was my yellow Labrador, Thor.  He was a nightmare!  He reacted to people, and other dogs.  He was a nervous wreck.  We were blacklisted at the vets as aggressive and worst of all he had to go to the vets much more than I would have liked because he was diagnosed with elbow dysplasia and osteoarthritis at the tender age of seven months.  We worked on it and we worked hard.  He had a happy and full life with many, many friends including some dog ones.  There were tears and there still are even though he's gone over rainbow bridge now. Some dogs are sent to teach us something, he taught me so much.  He was the spur to me getting into professional animal behaviour and training.

I have over a decade of experience in the animal sector.  I've worked with SEND students studying animal care qualifications while caring for zoo, exotic, farm and domestic species.  I currently work as a behaviourist for Jerry Green Dog Rescue where I have the pleasure of guiding dogs through their journey from rescue to rehoming.  I also volunteer for Dog AID as a trainer for people wishing to train their own assistance dogs and run my own business.
